About Griffith
🚨 STOP SCROLLING — Griffith has had a glow-up 🚨
If you’ve seen Griffith’s profile before, it’s time to take another look. This sweet young Dachshund cross has made some huge strides in care and is really showing what a lovely little companion, he’s becoming.
Griffith now happily settles when his people need to head out. He is comfortable being left in his crate or will simply chill on the lounge — though fair warning, shoes are still a no-no 😉. He has developed beautiful manners and continues to grow in confidence every day.
He is becoming wonderfully independent and loves spending time outside with his foster dog siblings, soaking up the fresh air and company. At the same time, Griffith is just as content snuggled up on the lounge with his humans, enjoying quiet time and affection.
Griffith strikes a lovely balance between independence and companionship, making him a great fit for a home looking for a dog who can entertain himself but also loves being part of everyday life.
With his ongoing progress, gentle nature, and affectionate personality, Griffith is truly ready for his forever home — and if you passed him by before, now is the time to look again.
Medical notes
NOTE: Griffith’s adoption fee includes the cost of desexing when age appropriate, subject to terms and conditions.
Griffith is available for interstate adoption, provided he is transported via road, not air.
Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
