Lulu arrived at the shelter after being found on the streets with her tiny babies, doing everything she could to keep them safe. Understandably, she was frightened, overwhelmed, and unsure of the world around her. With time, patience, and gentle care, Lulu has slowly begun to show us her true personality.

Now that her kittens have headed off to foster care and she has fully recovered from the flu she came in with, this lovely girl has started to come out of her shell. Lulu has discovered that pats feel pretty wonderful, and she will now seek out soft interactions from the people she trusts. Her confidence grows a little more each day, and we can already see the sweet, affectionate companion she is becoming.

Lulu will need a calm and understanding home willing to give her the time she needs to settle in. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms beautifully.

Cats like Lulu remind us why belief and compassion from the community matter so much. It's the kindness of people who choose to take a chance on a frightened, overlooked cat that creates life-changing outcomes. Without someone willing to open their heart and home to her, Lulu may not have had another option.
