About Knox
We know it's the silly season but we seem to be getting so many people who either don't read the bio - don't read the requirements or 'change their mind after applying and being approved for a meet and greet' or our favourite think that Knox is free and they shouldn't have to pay a adoption fee
So much wasted time for volunteers and such disappointment for our foster furkids!
So Knox is back up - waiting for his furever home
🌟 MEET KNOX — the brave, snuggly Frenchie who fought his way back to happiness 🌟
French Bulldog • 3 years 4 months • 14.5kg
Some dogs arrive in care carrying heavy stories — and Knox is one of them. But what makes him special is how beautifully he’s risen above it all.
When Knox first came into rescue, he was underweight, sore, and struggling with severe allergies, skin infections, and painful ears. His skin was scratched raw, his feet inflamed, and his whole body told the story of a boy who hadn’t had the comfort he deserved.
But Knox fought back — gently, bravely, and with the sweetest heart.
With veterinary support, medication, and a whole lot of love, Knox blossomed. His infections cleared, his skin healed, and the sparkle came back into his eyes. Today, you’d hardly believe he’s the same boy.
Now he’s ready for the forever home where his triumphant little heart can finally rest.
💕 Personality — Sweet, Silly & Impossible Not to Love
Knox is a mellow, easygoing boy who loves to snooze nearby, snuggle close, or curl up wherever his people are. He’s the king of comfy spots — couch, bed, floor, dog bed… he rotates like it’s a sport.
Most of the day he’s a chilled-out lad, but if a friend invites him to wrestle or a tug toy appears, he morphs into the happiest wiggly potato you’ve ever seen. Tug of war? His absolute favourite. Ball? Say no more.
He’s very quiet, but every now and then he’ll gift you a single bark at absolutely nothing — just to remind you he exists.
And when he plays… he makes a noise that can only be described as “Predator meets purring.” It’s bizarre, hilarious, and totally him. It means he’s happy.
🏡 Life at Home
• Toilet trained: Yes
• Doggy door: Yes
• Crate trained: Yes, though he much prefers the couch or your bed
• Kids: Loves them — all ages. His enthusiasm may accidentally boop over very tiny children, but there’s not a mean bone in this boy
• Dogs: Loves dogs of all sizes — from his giant French Mastiff buddy to his tiny Chi puppy friend
• Needs another dog? No — humans are his favourite
• Cats: Not tested, but likely chill
• Small animals: Shows no interest in the budgies
🚗 Out & About
Knox enjoys walks, but as a squishy-faced Frenchie he does best with cooler times of day. He’s more of a “stop and sniff” explorer than a power walker.
He’s great on lead and loves car rides — he’s happy just being part of the adventure.
🍖 Food & Skin Care
Knox has come a long way with his skin, and he’ll need to stay on Apoquel for life — the medication that finally turned everything around for him.
He can’t have chicken (it flares his allergies), but he LOVES fish-based foods and there are plenty of options that keep him healthy and comfortable.
Regular baths help keep his skin happy, and he’s a good boy for them.
💛 Knox’s Perfect Home
A gentle, loving home where he can continue to thrive — one that sees the amazing dog he is today and honours everything he overcame to get here.
In return, Knox offers endless love, quiet companionship, funny quirks, joyful playtime, and a heart that attaches deeply to the people who care for him.
🌟 Knox has survived the hard part. Now he’s ready for the best part — a forever family who will adore him as much as he adores them.
If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with his whole heart, Knox is your boy

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
