About Jacob
Jacob is a loving, playful, and friendly young boy who loves being around people. He can get excited during handling and has a lot of strength and bulk, so he benefits from calm, confident guidance.
This boy LOVES toys and playtime, often bringing them back or swapping between them for another round of fun. He is very food motivated, takes treats gently, and shows great potential for training-already knowing sit, hand target, and can be lured into a drop.
On walks, Jacob does well on a harness, though his size and strength mean he can be challenging if aroused. He will thrive with an owner experienced with large, powerful breeds who is committed to ongoing training and exercise.
Jacob is still learning how to interact with other dogs. He shows some pro-social intent but, as a likely undersocialised youngster, he struggles to read canine body language and can be boisterous in his attempts to engage. He will need careful guidance to develop calm behaviours and appropriate social skills.
Jacob is a big, affectionate, high-spirited pup who will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistent training, and lots of positive experiences. With the right support, he's going to make a truly loyal and loving companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
