About Sora
Introducing Sora, a gentle boy with a heart full of potential and a personality that blossoms once he feels safe. Sora arrived at the shelter absolutely terrified, unsure of people and new environments. But after spending time in a loving foster home, his true nature shone through, affectionate, playful, food-motivated, and wonderfully sweet. Now that he's back in the busy shelter environment, some of that fear has returned, but we know exactly who he really is beneath the worry.
Sora is looking for a calm, understanding home with people who can give him the reassurance and time he needs to settle. He may be shy at first, so starting him in a quiet, safe room is ideal. With patient introductions, gentle interactions and, most importantly, treats (his favourite thing in the world), Sora warms up beautifully and begins to actively seek out pats and cuddles, he just prefers to keep all four paws on the ground.
When he's not charming you with his sweetness, Sora loves playtime. He especially enjoys wand toys and interactive games. While he's an adult now and won't spend the whole day doing kitten-level parkour, he still has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for play. He's also very food-motivated, making him easy to train and quick to bond with anyone willing to offer snacks.
One of Sora's quirks is his enthusiastic litter-digging technique, he really commits to it! Because of this, an enclosed litter tray or one with high sides is a great choice to keep things tidy.
Sora is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Sora - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
