About Nala
Hello everybody my name is Nala and I am just the happiest girl you will ever meet. I wake up smiling. I go to bed smiling. If you like a dog who brings sunshine with her then I am your girl!
I am still learning the world so sometimes I get a bit excited when I see other dogs. The vet said I was a bit bouncy which I think is a compliment. I have not met cats yet but we do have a pet bird at home and I barely notice it. I think I would be very happy as an only pet because I really enjoy my own space and my own people.
At night I sleep inside in my crate. I actually tuck myself into bed which everyone finds very cute. During the day, if my humans are at work, I hang outside and relax in the sunshine. I am alone for about eight hours and I do fine although I am always very happy when everyone comes home.
I am not sure about young children because I have not met any yet. I can be a bit timid with strangers especially men but once I realise they are kind I relax. My tail keeps going even when my courage is small.
My favourite toy is my kong jumbler. I chase it and it makes me feel very proud of myself. I love treats especially anything chicken but chicken necks were a bit too much for my tummy so we do not do those anymore.
Training is something I am working on. I am not the easiest girl to train right now because I am older and still learning my name. I can be skittish but I really do try. I do not know any tricks yet but I think one day I will surprise everyone. Toileting is going well. I have had a couple of accidents but I am getting the hang of things.
I have not been on many walks so my lead skills are still a mystery. I am also not sure how I act out in the world because I have not had many adventures yet. I was very good at the vet which made everyone proud. I am becoming a bit more vocal as I settle in but mostly I only speak when other dogs bark first.
I have little bursts of fast zoomy energy and then I am happy to chill. I am not a fence jumper and the vet said no health concerns so that is good news. I lick a lot which might be my version of worry but I am settling more each day. Right now I am eating Black Hawk puppy medium breed and enjoying it very much.
My funniest quirk is that I put myself to bed like a little old lady who has had a big day. It makes everyone laugh. I also have the sweetest face which I use to get extra pats. It works every time.
If you are looking for a gentle soul who is learning to be brave and loves her people with her whole heart then I think we might be perfect together.
Love
