Coco

Hello there. My name is Coco and I am the sweetest and smoothest chocolate drop you have ever had the opportunity to come by.

I had a tough start to life and began my journey living in an abandoned car. I arrived into foster care very scared and expecting my second litter of pups. I have finally completed my duties and raised my pups to be strong and healthy. Now they are all going to their own families, so it's finally time for me to have my very own family to love me!

I am a gentle and calm dog, with plenty of love to give. I have really enjoyed the pampered life... being allowed inside whenever I want, having my very own crate to sleep in peacefully and even having my very own spot on the lounge. You may not like dogs on your lounge, but I am more than happy to sleep in a bed on the floor. Just having a bed to snooze in is a new luxury for me and, let me tell you, I am loving the good life.

I am typically shar pei in my manner. Calm, laid back and loyal. Ask me to sit, and I will just give you 'the look.' Oh, I know what you are asking me to do, I just choose not to. Unless, of course, there is a high value treat. Bacon, chicken, steak, cheese, etc. Of course I will sit for something absolutely delicious!

I just adore going for car rides. To be quite honest with you, I am an excellent back seat driver. And I enjoy getting out and about. Even a trip to the vet is fun. Mind you, they all make a fuss of me, so I always make the most of the outing.

I walk well on the lead and generally ignore other dogs when I am out and about. If they want to greet me though, I am always friendly with them, of course.

I currently live with dogs of all ages and sizes and would love to have a doggy friend or two in my new family. I can be a bit nervous meeting new dogs if they are bigger than me at first, but warm up to them quickly once I realise they are friendly. Having been with lots of dogs all of my life to date, I would really benefit from a doggy companion. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I am also cat friendly!
