✨ Retired Adventurer Seeking Soft Beds and Softer Humans
Gary is a soft-hearted gentleman with the soul of a storyteller and the face of a permanently surprised cartoon character. He walks with a tiny, endearing limp – a souvenir from past adventures – but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He still trots happily around the house, mingling with the dogs and cats as if they’re all part of his personal fan club.
Once upon a time, Gary also had a broken jaw, now fully healed, but it left him with a slightly open mouth that gives him a whimsical, wide-eyed “gasp!” expression at all times. When he purrs (which is often), his little open-mouth rumble gets loud enough to make the furniture vibrate. His foster parents insist it’s one of the cutest things you’ll ever hear.
Gary has a deep devotion to comfort and luxury. His fluffy bed is his throne, his sanctuary, and his favourite place to contemplate life. This bed will have to come with him when he’s adopted – no negotiations. He naps in it during the day, and at night he curls up in it on his human’s bed, because sharing a sleeping space with people is simply one of life’s great joys.
Because of his old injuries, Gary is an indoor-only cat now, content to retire from the dangers of outdoor adventure and instead enjoy a gentle, cosy life. He will chat to his humans when he’s hungry, when he wants company, or simply when he has Thoughts.
He dreams of a peaceful home where he can lounge, love, and be cherished for the sweet, quirky, gentle boy he is.
People describe me as: Independent but cuddly, lazy, happy
How am I with dogs? Good with dogs with a slow introduction
How am I with cats? Good with cats with a slow introduction
How am I with kids? Best with children aged 12 and up
My purrfect home is: Indoor only, filled with places for me to lounge and retire
Medical Note:
Gary came into care with a fracture in the femoral neck. He has undergone a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery to save leg and limb function. As a result, he has a residual limp and some expected muscle atrophy, but he is comfortable, pain-free, and able to enjoy an active, happy life. Due to his surgery and recovery, Gary must be an indoor-only cat.
Gary also came into care with a previously broken jaw, which has fully healed. His mouth does not close completely, but this does not cause him any pain or interfere with his eating or daily life.
Overall, Gary is healthy, happy, and ready to enjoy a calm, loving home.
Gary's adoption fee is $75 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.
