About Rune - 7 Month Old Dachshund
Rune is a 7-month-old, female Dachshund puppy.
Rune is a sweet little girl, who is timid and needs a safe and secure home to call her own.
Rune will grow up to be a small dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the very best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, gentle exercise, routine and positive training.
Rune is a soft, sensitive little soul. She is a total sook in the sweetest way — she loves to lie on her back, gaze into your eyes and quietly ask for cuddles. She forms very deep bonds with her people and will happily make herself your tiny shadow.
Sleeping in your bed is non-negotiable according to Rune.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Rune. If you don’t have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn’t work full-time, as she truly thrives on human connection.
Rune needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and she must sleep inside at least until fully grown (and preferably forever). She will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older who understand gentle handling.
You need good secure fencing with no small gaps. Rural fencing (mesh or wire) is not suitable for Rune due to her small size.
Rune is a delicate, loving little girl with exceptional manners who is looking for a home where she will be cherished as a true family member, spoiled with affection, and never short on cuddles.
Rune's sister is also available for adoption.
Rune’s adoption fee is $1100 which includes her desexing next month. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Rune is in foster care in Belmont, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing at the end of December 2025.
