ABOUT:

ntroducing, Toby, an exceptional older rather spritely gentleman looking for a caring and loving home for his senior years. Toby is a little cutie, big brown eyes that speak to you. Loves going for drives in the car and will jump up and sit in his carseat ready to go. Short walks are all he needs in the cool of the day for a little adventure. Playing with toys is a favourite pass time and he often runs around the house toy in tow when he's feeling happy, the other is sleeping in his basket, cuddles on the lounge and at bedtime he loves to be with you, he is a great bed buddy and doesn't snore or take up much space. Sleeping well through the night.

Toby would suit a retired person or someone who's at home and able to devote time and lots of love to him.He has a great appetite and will require a special diet low in salt and fat and not too many sneaky treats. Able to use a doggy door for sunning himself and toileting. What more could one want? He will make a wonderful little mate 🥰 Lastly he is a joy to have around and a beautiful little soul.

It is essential that you are able to maintain Toby's current medication regimen of 3 tablets daily for his heart condition, including making sure he maintains current weight. He will require vet visits for regular heart health checkups and monitoring and a special diet of low fat and salt food.

MEDICAL NOTES:

Cardiac Condition:
* Diagnosed with myxomatous mitral valve degeneration (MMVD), a chronic degenerative heart condition affecting the mitral valve.
* Currently clinically managed with daily medication.

Medications:
* Heart medication: 3 tablets orally once daily. Details will be provide upon adoption

Dental/Oral Findings:
* Noted overbite, currently monitored. No complications reported at this time.

BEHAVIOURAL NOTES:
Very frightened of storms, has a crate and a tent he uses as a safe zone.
There is also a thunder shirt and an essential oil calming blend in a roll that is used inside the ear, suitable for animals.
Toby does also suffer from separation anxiety and will need someone home more often than not.
