Reed is a gorgeous pint sized kelpie mix boy with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life.

Reed is an active, affectionate companion who absolutely loves going for walks and sniffs (he will need at least one good daily walk), but is also happy to follow it up with an afternoon snooze or movie session on the couch.

Reed is currently in foster care on a hobby farm, and has met the resident sheep, cows and chickens through the fence; and aside from trying to play with the cows, he wasn’t really interested in them.
He also gets along beautifully with other dogs—especially those who would love to play with him.
He really enjoys having a dog friend and would love a home with a playmate, but Reed could also be a solo sidekick, as long as his person was around more often than not, and he still has dog friends to socialise with.

Reed is cat friendly, as long as the cat is dog savvy and happy with lots of doggy attention.
Reed is great with kids and currently living with 2 primary aged children. He can be a little jumpy when excited but is learning quickly to sit for pats.
He currently sleeps outside with his foster brother at the back door, but is also crate trained inside.

He’s still getting there with house training- he'll be a pro in no time as he's a very quick learner. He already knows commands like sit & shake, and is currently working on stay, bed & drop.
He also has great recall when offlead around the property.

Reed is an intelligent dog who will shine with consistent training.
This boy is ready for adventures, snuggles, and everything in between—he just needs the right people to share it all with.
