About Klaus
Klaus is mister cool. He's super OK with whatever is going down. New people in the house - no problems - maybe they'll give me a pat. New cat - hey friend! Vacuum cleaner - ok, maybe I'll just take myself to higher ground, but it'll be OK.
He's just a fabulous, friendly, gorgeous cat. Because there are lots of foster cats in his house, he meets people all the time coming for adoptions. But even though he comes up to everyone and says hello (and often lies on the adoption paperwork of the cat they're adopting) he just keeps getting overlooked. Are they scared by his resemblance to Count Dracula? We promise he's never sucked anyone's blood!
He's 100% fine with kids and dogs and other cats. He's seen it all. Really nothing phases him. He loves coming for a pat or a belly rub, and loves to curl up next to you in bed (even in 30 degree weather - Why Klaus, why???)
He would be great in any household. I promise you, if you give him a chance, you will become a Klaus devotee!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
