About Bruce
🌟 HI, I’M BRUCE — TINY BODY, MEGA PERSONALITY 🌟
Pomeranian x Chihuahua • 1 year 10 months • 3.1kg of pure pint-size perfection
Hello, future humans.
It is I… Bruce.
Small in size, large in spirit, and built entirely out of speed, enthusiasm, and questionable decisions.
Allow me to tell you about myself — because trust me, I have opinions.
Now I must say I think my bio was pretty accurate to my personality but I had a lot of people who applied who wanted me to be a really lap dog 23 hours a day - that is no going to happen - I love life and love to do things.... please note I am not suited to your elderly grandma / grandpa who just wants a couch companion
🐾 My Origin Story
I came into care through a private surrender (don’t worry, I didn’t do anything wrong — except maybe being too fabulous). I’m now ready to charm my way into my forever family with my good looks, positive vibes, and blistering athletic ability.
🚽 My House Skills (According to Me: Exceptional)
• Toilet trained? Yes.
• Did I mark every single thing for the first two weeks? Also yes. Listen, a king must claim his kingdom.
• Now I only mark if something suspicious appears — like a mysterious cardboard box.
• I don’t have a doggy door, so I politely stand at the back door like a gentleman.
• I sleep through the night with zero accidents. You’re welcome.
• Not crate trained. Crates are for beings without blankets, in my opinion.
⚡ Energy & Volume Settings
My energy level ranges from:
✨ “Let’s walk 6km!”
to
✨ “Let’s walk another 6km!”
My daily routine is basically:
Walk ➜ Eat ➜ Power nap ➜ Chaos ➜ Snack ➜ Power nap ➜ More Chaos ➜ Walk ➜ Dinner ➜ Quiet contemplation.
I’m not a big barker — I only alert my human when it is clearly time for a walk or play. Otherwise, silent as a tiny fluffy ninja. No barking when people arrive, when left alone, or for fun.
I do the occasional reverse sneeze, which I find dramatic and effective.
🐕 Social Skills:
I am, simply put, everyone’s favourite tiny dude.
• Kids? Love them.
• Adults? Adore me.
• Dogs? All sizes, all shapes — I greet each one like a celebrity meeting fans.
• Cats? Suspicious muffins with claws. No thank you.
• Horses? Terrifying giants. Hard pass.
• Ducks & swooping plovers? I file those under “problems for bigger dogs.”
• Bush turkeys & water dragons? Meh.
• Budgies? Invisible to me.
I’d be happy as an only dog, but a small friend with my energy level would be fun — someone to pester and be pestered by.
🌙 My Daily Habits & Preferences
• I do NOT believe in sleeping in. There is life to live.
• At night I sleep at the foot of the bed like a loyal warrior.
• I love my blanket more than I love snuggles — though I’ll do a meerkat-style cuddle if the mood strikes.
• I rest wherever the vibe feels right: tiles, bed, floor, blanket, whatever.
• I sneak onto the lounge like a criminal mastermind.
• I am independent — I don’t need to follow you everywhere, unless you’re holding food.
🚶♂️ Walking: My True Passion
I walk like I’m training for the Tiny Dog Olympics.
• Morning: 4–6km
• Evening: 2–3km
• Could I do more? Yes.
• Could you keep up? Unlikely.
I’m great on a harness and lead. I may pull when excited or when I see another high-energy dog, but I settle quickly.
I walk politely with small dogs and a border collie buddy — I consider us an elite squad.
I stop at roads like a good boy.
I read a lot of pee-mail and always reply promptly.
🍽️ Food:
Not fussy. Eat wet, dry, or both.
I sit before meals because manners matter.
🎾 My Personality (Self-Reviewed):
• Favourite toy: a ball shoved in an old sock — elite entertainment.
• I spin in tiny circles like a malfunctioning robot.
• I run in huge circles like a tiny racehorse.
• I pee as high as physically possible — nearly topple every time. Worth it.
• I strut like a dressage pony, front feet lifting dramatically.
• I am extremely busy in the yard — sniffing, digging, rolling in dead worms, “gardening,” etc.
• I scratch my ears often but they’re fine — I just really love ear rubs.
• Baths: acceptable.
• Brushing: fine.
• Feet drying: tolerable.
• Car rides: delightful. Unless we’re arriving somewhere fun, then I go into party mode.
• Storms & fireworks? I sleep through them. Small but fearless.
I am determined, inquisitive, independent, persistent, cheerful, friendly, cheeky, and outrageously cute.
Impatient? Yes.
Mean? Never.
Happy? Always.
Living my best life? Absolutely.
❤️ In Summary (According to Bruce):
I’m a happy little adventurer with legs that move faster than physics intended, a heart full of joy, and a personality big enough to power a small city.
If you want a fun, fearless, loveable mini-man to explore life with you — I’m your guy.
Love, Bruce 🐾

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
