Roman

Roman is a gentle giant who loves to soak up as much love as his humans are able to give. As a senior cat, Roman loves nothing more than to lounge in the sun, take starfish naps on the fluffiest blankets, and seek smooches and cuddles the moment he sees a human sitting nearby.

Roman has lived with one family for most of his life, adopted as a terrified and timid teenage kitten with an unknown past that has learnt to come out of his shell and trust in humans again. Although he has come a long way, his early troubled start has given Roman a timid ‘scaredy cat’ nature when he first meets any human. However, the moment someone earns his trust, he is undiscriminating with his affections, and will demand more and more, with demanding meows to boot! He is a gentle soul who has never bitten or scratched humans or cats, despite his impressively big size and huge paws. At nights, he loves to be a pillow for his humans – so long as he is touching you and can stay close, he will purr the night away!

Roman has a stunning, long coat which gives him a regal appearance, and the sassiest, human-like meows that tell you exactly what he’s thinking. His owners think, without bias, that he is the most handsome cat to have ever walked the Earth (look at him!). He gets the occasional shave to help maintain his coat. Due to moving overseas, his owners have made the difficult decision of looking for a loving home for Roman to retire in. Because of his age, Roman is unable to travel, and his owners want what is best for him.

Because of his timid nature, Roman can be easily bullied by other cats, and he can be stressed when needing to share spaces with dominating cats. For this reason, he would be best suited to an indoor and single-cat home with no young children. He can live with one other feline who is calm, docile and can give Roman his own space. He has lived with birds and dogs before with minimal fuss, and has even been a patient and loving foster cat father to other kittens who temporarily come to stay with him.

Roman is a very beloved and cherished cat, and any new family who adopts him will be abundantly rewarded with a lifetime of love.
