About Lucy
Meet Lucy - Your True Blue Aussie Companion!
🐾 Breed: Traditional Black & Tan Kelpie
🐾 Age: 9 months
Lucy is an absolute ripper - a real Aussie girl with a heart full of adventure! At just 9 months old, she's bursting with energy and ready to experience everything life has to offer.
Surrendered to BARC through no fault of her own, Lucy's previous history is known, and she's proven herself to be a well-mannered pup with all the right attributes for training. She's taken to shelter life like a champ, but we all know the shelter is no place for a dog as special as Lucy.
✅ Eager to Please - She knows her basics and is keen to learn more.
✅ Kid & Dog Social - A true social butterfly who loves meeting new friends!
✅ Play Personality - One of the best we've seen in a long time.
Lucy will happily stop along your walks to greet every person and pup she meets. She's an outgoing, affectionate girl who needs an active, inclusive family willing to meet her physical and mental needs with regular exercise and daily enrichment.
Adopt Lucy and fall in love - you couldn't ask for a better dog!
She's available for meet and greets NOW and ready to leave the shelter on 28/11/25.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
