Curtis is a 3-year-old ginger sweetheart with a story that tugs at the heartstrings.

After being given a very ... questionable haircut, Curtis found himself cold, alone, and a little bewildered at the pound. His previous owner didn't come forward, but we know one thing for sure: Curtis deserves a fresh start with a forever family who understands patience, love, and the occasional head scratch.

This gentle boy is a quiet companion who enjoys a soft chin rub or a slow, careful scratch behind the ears. He's taking some time to decompress and get back to his full, fluffy glory, so he'll need an understanding home to help him regain his confidence (and his hair!).

Curtis may be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you, he has a heart full of love and a personality that will bloom with the right family. Cats like Curtis don't always have a happy ending in shelters, but we're determined to change that. Could you be the family to give Curtis the calm, loving home he deserves and help him shine again?

Ideal Home: Patient, quiet, cat-savvy household. Loves gentle head scratches and has the time to help Curtis decompress and regrow his fabulous ginger coat.
