About Buddy Boy
Are you in search of a furry companion who checks all the boxes on your list for the perfect pet?
Introducing Buddy Boy, a charming Wolfhound cross with a heart of gold. Buddy Boy is an incredibly affectionate and friendly dog Buddy has had limited exposure to lead walking with time and patience, he has blossomed into a confident and playful pup who adores his daily walks and enjoys playing with his collection of toys.
Buddy Boyâs favorite thing in the world is you! He is exceptionally people-friendly and craves nothing more than cuddles and pats from his human friends.
His enthusiasm for playtime is evident in his love for toys, and he has amassed quite the collection.
Buddy also loves a good play with furry friends
When it comes to interacting with humans, Buddy Boy is an absolute sweetheart. He gets along wonderfully with people and is always eager to make new friends. Although he can become a bit jumpy when heâs excited, he has made significant progress with training and is learning to manage his exuberance.
In terms of obedience, Buddy Boy is quite the gentleman. He responds well to commands, sitting promptly when asked and eagerly awaiting treats.
He even knows how to shake hands! However, like any playful pup, he can be a bit mischievous, especially when he has a doggy friend to play with. Tug-of-war with the couch cushion becomes an irresistible game, but rest assured, this behavior only occurs when he has a canine companion; when heâs alone, he is as well-behaved as can be.
Buddy Boy is also great with other dogs, although he can be a little friendly at the start, not quite understanding the concept of personal space.
On walks, he may be a bit wary of unfamiliar dogs, but he is never aggressive, simply eager to make new friends. Currently, Buddy Boy is the only dog in his household, but he has enjoyed having canine friends over for weekend playdates, relishing the company.
Despite his sociable nature, Buddy Boy is perfectly content with his own company. He entertains himself at home while his humans are at work, with no issues whatsoever.
When it comes to food, Buddy Boy is currently fed high-quality kibble and is not a picky eater. He eats only as much as he needs at any given time.
Buddy Boyâs wiry coat is easy to care for, and he has no problem being brushed. As a wolfhound cross, his grooming needs are minimal, making him a low-maintenance pet in terms of hygiene.
He is comfortable sleeping outside or in the garage, adapting well to his sleeping arrangements. Exercise is an important part of Buddy Boyâs routine.
When he first arrived in our care, he had never walked on a leash, but now he absolutely loves his walks. He walks nicely without pulling and stays close by. In addition to his walks, he enjoys playing with his ball and toys in the backyard, ensuring he gets plenty of physical activity.
Initially hesitant to come inside, Buddy Boy has since learned that being indoors means a cozy bed and delightful belly rubs.
He has adapted well to indoor living and appreciates the comfort it provides.
Buddy does well in the car but can be hesitant to jump in at times but the more he find it takes him to fun places the more he will enjoy hopping in
Buddy Boyâs ideal home would be with a family looking for a loyal best friend. Due to his size, older children would be the best fit for him. He would thrive in a family that can spend quality time with him and provide him with a backyard where he can run and play to his heartâs content. A home in a quieter area, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, would be ideal, as he is still adjusting to the big, wide world. An environment with less traffic and noise would suit him best, making suburban or rural living preferable over inner-city or apartment settings.A yard with secure fencing, shade and shelter and grass to play on.
He would adore a loving and well socialized K9 friend of similar size to have as his BFF but is not essential but if another K9 in residence we would be seeking a Female
