Introducing Andre, a delightful young dog with a wonderfully gentle nature and a heart full of love. Our sweet and petite loving boy is a Jack Russell Terrier x Kelpie weighing in at just 15 kilos so the perfect size mini Medium size boy who is now at full size.
Andre is truly a little love bug, always eager to shower his affection on the people he adores. He has a particular fondness for cuddling up on the couch, where he can be close to his humans, loves attention and affection with a contented heart.
Andre’s love for his people is boundless, and he thrives on being in their company. Andre is a calm soul so likes his people to be the same, engaging in slow introductions. He has lived with a couple of teenagers and enjoyed their company
He quickly warms and reveals just how affectionate and loving he can be, eager to form a bond with those around him. He is really is such a sweetheart
Currently, Andre is diligently working on mastering commands such as “sit” and basic recall. He would greatly benefit from continued gentle training and consistency to help him reach his full potential. Although he isn’t particularly motivated by food, Andre does enjoy a good game of tug or receiving verbal praise, which can be effective tools in his training.
When it comes to interacting with other dogs, Andre is good-natured and enjoys the company of calm canine companions who are interested in engaging in play. He may feel a bit uneasy around dogs that are overly boisterous or too forward in their greetings, preferring to take his time to get to know them before engaging in play. Andre has been fostered alongside a Schnauzer and a Wolfhound, and he enjoys their company. Slow and calm introductions are key, and his carers have been diligently working to help him feel more confident when meeting new dogs during outings.
Andre shows an interest in play and loves to run around the yard with his friends Andre has a preference for having company and would love to have a playmate or companion to hang out with. If left alone without a friend, he may resort to a bit of digging out of boredom, which is why having another dog for company would be ideal. With a canine companion, Andre has shown no issues and is content to share his time and space.
Despite his energetic nature, Andre is calm and content when at home, happy to relax and spend time with his people.
He has had a few baths while in foster care and handles them without much fuss.
At night. Andre sleeps happily in his crate, though he would gladly share a bed with his humans if given the chance lol so he is a versatile chap regarding sleeping arrangements
Inside the home, Andre is calm and sweet, always at his happiest when he can be near his humans. He is quiet and just wants to be where you are. He would be great a great companion for a home body
He has been thoroughly vet-checked and is in excellent health.
Andre’s ideal home would be one where someone is home more often than not, unless there is company of another dog as he tends to get lonely without either a K9 or human friend
A home keen to continue his training and socialisation/ exposure a home where he can be an inside dog and be welcomed as the cuddly companion he is.
A calm, active dog friend would be a bonus, and his future humans must be prepared to enjoy plenty of couch cuddles with this little love bug.
