BRUCE is a gentle, affectionate young dog who loves people, toys and learning new things. Friendly with kids, dogs and cats, crate-trained and eager to please, he’s ready to become a loyal, fun-loving companion in a home where he can truly belong.

Born on 25 May 2025, Bruce was found wandering the streets of a regional town, but has quickly embraced the comforts of life in his foster home and is thriving as a well-mannered inside/outside companion.

Once he feels safe and settled, Bruce’s playful, social personality shines. He loves people and gets along well with small dogs (yes, even Chihuahuas!) and cats. Toys are a favourite pastime, and he is always ready for a game or a bit of fun with his humans.

During the day, Bruce is happy to snooze in his enclosed, covered courtyard and keep himself entertained with giant marrow bones. He also enjoys spending time in the backyard with his canine and human friends. At night, he sleeps indoors on his padded pet bed.

As you can see in his videos, Bruce has already made wonderful progress with training. He is:

✓ Crate trained and sleeps through the night
✓ Walking beautifully on a head halter (prefers quieter walking areas)
✓ Sitting at road crossings and at the top/bottom of stairs
✓ Sitting and waiting patiently for meals
✓ Waiting to be invited inside
✓ Responding to sit, drop, and stay, including extended stays
✓ Enjoying enrichment toys such as Kongs and snuffle mats

Although Bruce can be a little shy at first, patience and kindness quickly win him over. Once he trusts you, he will become your loyal shadow. Being very people-focused, he would thrive in a home where someone is around much of the time and perhaps there's a friendly canine companion to play with.

Bruce is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, and is ready for a safe, loving home where he will be welcomed as a true member of the family.
