About Walter
Introducing Walter — though his closest friends simply call him Wally.
Wally arrived at AWL from a Sydney pound along with his mum and siblings, and he has grown into a sweet-natured young boy with plenty of charm to share — once he feels safe.
Wally is a gentle soul who will need a little time to settle into a new home, but your patience will be rewarded with a beautifully affectionate companion. With his thick, glossy black coat, we suspect there may be a touch of British Shorthair somewhere in his family tree.
He enjoys playing with other cats, but also appreciates quiet moments to himself — don’t we all in this busy world?
Walter is in foster care in Western Sydney and is ready to meet his forever family.
Best with Children Aged: 12 years +
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
