Meet Empire the tail-less, treat-loving ex-racing greyhound with a personality big enough to fill a stadium. Friendly, outgoing and absolutely convinced he's the star of every room, Empire brings confident, joyful energy wherever he goes. He adores people, laps up attention, and approaches life with the enthusiasm of someone who has just discovered snacks exist, and believes they should be available 24/7.

Empire is quirky, active and impulsive - the kind of dog who decides what he wants right now and then commits like it's a grand final. He's generally good on lead, though he can be strong, especially if he thinks you're reaching for treats. (He is extremely food-motivated and will stop any activity to negotiate.)

This handsome boy had a short but eventful racing career. After injuring his right Achilles at a young age and later damaging his tail on the track, he now rocks a stylish bobtail. He may have less tail, but he certainly doesn't have less personality.

When it comes to small dogs, Empire has big feelings, a little too big. He's enthusiastic, rude with his greetings and not quite aware of his own size, so he will need a home without small dogs. He'd be far more suitable living with a medium or large, confident dog who doesn't mind his excitable approach. On long leads he gets easily distracted by treats and sometimes forgets that spatial awareness exists, but he's trying his best.

Empire is looking for a home with children over 10, as his enthusiasm and impulsive nature could be a bit much for younger kids. He's also not an apartment greyhound, this boy needs a proper backyard where he can stretch out, sunbathe, zoom, and practice being the quirky athlete he believes he still is.
