Amara (67139)

Amara arrived at GAWS as a stray with no owners coming forward to collect her. Their loss has been our gain, because getting to know this incredible girl has been an absolute pleasure. Now she's ready to find a family who appreciates every bit of her sass, charm, and personality. Since arriving, Amara has been an absolute delight. She's the kind of dog who wants to get things right, responds beautifully to guidance, and is proving herself to be a clever girl with all the ingredients needed to become someone's dream companion. When it comes to other dogs, Amara likes to be the Queen. She's most happy in the company of dogs who recognise how special she is, and act accordingly. She's making fantastic progress and particularly enjoys the company of friendly male dogs. That said, Amara is looking for a home where she can be the star of the show and soak up all the attention for herself. Amara may need a little help settling into indoor life and polishing up her household manners, but she's eager to learn and loves having someone in her corner. With continued training, consistency, and plenty of snacks (she didn't say that part, but we know she was thinking it), she'll flourish. She's looking for a home with children aged 10 and over, has not been tested with cats, and is ready to trade shelter life for a couch, a family, and a future full of adventures. If you're searching for a loyal sidekick with a cheeky streak, a gorgeous face, and enough personality to keep life interesting, Amara might just be your girl.
