About Whisky (67302)
Whisky is a gentle soul who has come to GAWS due to his previous owners living arrangements. A medium to large boy he has had the shock of his life entering the shelter and did not cope well. But it has been the improvement and gained confidence he has shown which has been truly pleasing. Shy and timid at first, he has now befriended many staff, volunteers and new dog friends here at GAWS. Whisky has a solid training background, is house trained, loves the car, enjoys indoors, also does very well outdoors, can be strong on lead but requires the exercise, loves his toys, and has a few minor health issues that are easily managed. Whisky may be suited to a similar natured dog friend, children have to be over 13 as he can be nervous and, ideally he enters a calm, stable home environment to expand his confidence. He has not been cat tested. Whisky can be quite protective of his people which makes for a good guarding companion but needs sensible management when faced with meeting strangers (for example tradespeople). Whisky is 27 kg. Come meet this loyal and gentle boy.
