About Jax
Say Hello to Your New Best Mate - Jax!
Meet Jax, an 8-month-old Catahoula mix who found himself surrendered to BARC through no fault of his own. When he first arrived, Jax was a timid little soul in a big, unfamiliar world. But thanks to his gentle nature and sweet personality, he's quickly won over everyone he meets - and now has us all eating out of his paw!
Jax is dog-social and loves the company of other well-mannered, calm dogs who are happy to play when he initiates. He's also a gentle boy who would do well around younger children and will bond with the whole family, becoming a much-loved, inclusive four-legged family member. Just imagine him joining you in your Santa photos this Christmas as a fully-fledged part of the family!
We're looking for a home ready to embrace the responsibilities of a young pup, including ongoing socialisation and exposure training. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who will bring joy and love to your life.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
