About Rambo

Rambo is a sweet and spirited 3.5-year-old German Shepherd who’s ready to find a loving forever home. Originally found as a stray and unclaimed from a rural pound, Rambo has spent the past few months thriving in foster care and is now eager to start the next chapter of his life.
This lively working-line shepherd is full of energy and enthusiasm, he adores playtime, especially fetch and tug, and has a particular fondness for squeaky toys. Rambo would be happiest in an active household that can offer him daily walks and plenty of engaging play.
Rambo is a people-lover through and through, he enjoys pats from anyone he meets and is a loyal companion who likes to stay close to his humans, whether it’s lying at your feet or snuggling on the couch. Due to his size and playful nature, he’s best suited to a home with children aged 5 and up, as he may unintentionally knock over smaller kids during play.
Rambo is generally fine on his own during the day, he does bark and panic a little when his people first leave home, however soon settles down and then is a good boy waiting for his humans to return home. Rambo is not destructive and keeps himself amused when given treat dispensing toys and other puzzles.
Rambo has a good foundation of his basic commands but still has plenty to learn, he would thrive with ongoing training in his new home. Rambo pulls hard on lead towards different smells and at times can get easily distracted, his new family will need to work on his focus and engagement to fine-tune his skills and manners.
Rambo gets on well with other dogs for the most-part, with slow introductions he is happy to say hello and hang out with other calm, friendly dogs. Rambo does get jealous and protective around other dogs when toys are around, so he will need to be kept on a lead and supervised with other dogs at all times, setting him up for success and positive experiences. Rambo is best suited as the only dog in his new home, that can socialise in controlled settings with others.
Rambo has not been tested with cats or other small pets.
Rambo is everything you could want in a German Shepherd; playful, affectionate, loyal and incredibly bright, he will make the most amazing companion for someone willing to put in the time and effort every dog deserves.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
