About Juniper
Hi, I am Juniper, but most people call me Juni.
I am a simple little guy who loves a good nap and a warm lap. Life is pretty great when you are a pup and I try to enjoy every bit of it.
I really like other dogs. Big ones. Small ones. Bouncy ones. I play all day with my sister and with my foster brother Nico. We wrestle and chase each other until we fall over. I do, however, listen well when other dogs tell me they need space, and then I just go find something else fun to do.Cats are still a bit of a mystery to me. I have seen one or two and I did not react, but I will need slow introductions. I am a gentle boy at heart so I think I will be fine.
I would be happy as an only pet because I adore people more than anything. Truly. If you sit down I will climb into your lap and melt into you. I sleep both inside and outside. I do well in both places and I never fuss about bedtime. I spend most of my days outside snoozing in the sun or following my doggy friends around. I have not been alone without other animals yet but I do fine when I have company.
I am amazing with kids. I really love them. I am learning to keep all four paws on the ground but sometimes I forget, because I get excited. I am especially gentle with tiny humans and I am wonderful with the fifteen month old in my foster home.
Meeting new people is the best thing in the world. I love everyone. Every single person. I trot over with my big soft eyes and hope they will give me pats. They always do.
My favourite thing ever is chasing the ball. Actually, I love chasing Nico when he has the ball even more. We zoom around and then finish with a big wrestle. It is so much fun.
Training is still a bit tricky for me. I am not the fastest learner. My foster mum says I am a little silly but in the sweetest way. I have not mastered sit just yet but I am trying. My recall is pretty good though. I listen when I am called, especially if the voice sounds excited.I am doing well with toileting. I have the odd accident but I am getting better every day. I have not been on a lead yet but that will happen soon.
I do not bark. Truly. I am the quietest boy you will ever meet. I hardly make a sound. I am very calm and very soft natured.
I am a lazy pup. I play for a bit, then I sleep for a lot. I am not a jumper and the fencing here is completely fine for me. I am just a peaceful little soul who wants love and somewhere soft to sleep.
I do have one very funny little habit. When I am tired, I crawl onto your lap and I suckle on you until I fall asleep. It is my comfort thing and it makes me feel safe.
I hope someone out there wants a gentle boy like me. I promise I will love you with my whole heart.
