About Zena
Meet Zena: A Luxurious, Affectionate Queen Ready for Her Throne! đŸ
Zena is a stunning 9-year-old Ragdoll ready to find a peaceful, loving retirement home. This beautiful girl is a wonderful mix of playful and perpetually relaxed, making her the perfect companion for quiet cuddles and gentle play sessions.
While Zena can be a little shy or nervous when meeting new people, she is deeply affectionate once she settles in. She is playful , likes her cat toys , and has some periods throughout the day where she has high energy and might run up and down the house a few times. After a good play, she quickly returns to her favourite activity: being a couch potato and sleeping most of the day!
Zena is fully litter trained and ready to move right in and make herself comfortable.
đ Zena's Ideal Home
Zena is looking for a structured, patient, and loving home where she can shine as the one-and-only pet:
Only Pet: Zena prefers a home where she can be the solo star, as other pets (dogs or cats) can make her nervous.
Strictly Indoor: She must be an indoor cat to keep her safe and sound.
Calm & Cozy: She would thrive with a quiet individual, adult family, or perhaps someone who only has one child, as a busy environment or too many kids can make her anxious.
Grooming Partner: As a lovely Ragdoll, Zena has lots of hair. Her new owner should be prepared for shedding and to accept hair being everywhere like on furniture, clothes, and the floor.
If you're looking for an elegant, loyal, and affectionate companion who will fill your home with soft purrs and sweet cuddles, Zena is waiting for you!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
