Meet the Sweet and Handsome Hugo!

Hugo found his way to our shelter as a stray, having been found wandering the streets of Craigieburn before entering into our care. His looks are very deceiving. He appears to be an energetic adult dog, but underneath, he is still very much a puppy who needs lots of training. Anyone who meets him will instantly fall in love with his goofy spirit.

Based on Hugo's history, we feel that he may be at risk of developing some anxiety without proper training and confidence building. Hugo could definitely go home with another dog, as long as the initial meet-and-greet goes well. Make sure you bring your dog (or dogs) with you when you come in to meet him!

Hugo knows how to sit, but that's pretty much it. He is a sweet boy, though, who aims to please and is highly trainable due to his love of treats. He hasn't quite figured out how toys work or what to do with them-you can help him discover the joy of playing with toys and balls. Hugo is pretty good on a lead but will need a little further training and encouragement in this area.
