About Finch
Introducing Fig & Finch
Found living on the streets, these boys learned early that the world can be loud, unpredictable and a little frightening. Now in the shelter, that fear has followed them. The hustle and bustle of daily life, new faces, unfamiliar sounds ... it's a lot for two soft-hearted cats who are still trying to understand that they're finally safe.
Fig is the more reserved of the pair - a quiet boy who tends to shrink into himself when the world feels overwhelming. Finch, a touch braver, offers small glimpses of trust: a slow blink, a gentle lean, a moment where he decides to take that tiny step forward. And together? They are each other's safety blanket. You'll often find them curled tight, wrapped around one another like they're reminding themselves they're not alone.
But here's the part we want you to know most: once you break through that tough outer shell, both boys have so much affection to give. Soft purrs, delicate nudges, and slow, heartfelt moments of connection, these are the gifts they offer the people who earn their trust.
While they don't need to be adopted together, they would absolutely love to stay side by side in their new chapter. They also do beautifully with other friendly, gentle cats and would likely blossom in a home with feline companions to show them the ropes.
These boys aren't looking for perfection, just patience, kindness, and a quiet place to finally exhale. If you're willing to take things slow and let Fig and Finch learn the world isn't so scary after all, they'll pay you back with the deepest kind of love: the love that's earned.
Fig & Finch are part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Fig or Finch (or both) - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
