About Reuben
Ruben is a beautiful ginger boy with a heart as warm as his sunshine coat. He is sweet, super affectionate, and loves to chat to his humans, making sure you always know just how happy he is to be near you.
This lovely lad takes a little time to settle with new friends, but with patience, love, and understanding he blossoms into the most loyal, devoted companion you could wish for. Once he feels safe, Ruben becomes the best cat friend you’ll ever have, following you for cuddles and seeking you out for comfort and company.
True to his ginger charm, Ruben adores playtime and fun, happily chasing toys and zooming about before flopping down for a well-earned rest. He can always be found snoozing in the sun, perched on his cat tower, or snuggled up with you in bed, thoroughly enjoying all the cosy, comfortable things in life.
Ruben is a social boy at heart and will need a friendly resident cat in his forever home to be his companion and guide. With the right feline friend and a loving human by his side, Ruben will shine as the affectionate, joyful soul he’s meant to be, bringing warmth and love to his new family every single day.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
