Meet Tabitha,
Tabitha is a gentle and soft-natured girl who’s looking for a calm, quiet home with experienced owners who understand that the sweetest connections are often built slowly. She can be a little timid at first, but every day she blossoms just a bit more, showing off her affectionate and curious side. Tabitha is open to meeting kids from 8 years and up, simply because she appreciates a gentle style of interaction as she continues to grow her confidence.
This lovely girl absolutely adores being held close. She enjoys being picked up, carried and cuddled, and will often walk straight into your arms as if she’s been waiting for you all along. With a slow and gentle approach, she completely melts—especially if cheek scratches are involved. She’s not particularly interested in toys, but she more than makes up for it with biscuit-making sessions, rolling around happily at your feet, and purring like she’s telling you a story.
Tabitha may be low-energy, but she has a quiet charm that’s all her own. She’s friendly, affectionate, and social in that soft, subtle way—never demanding, yet always present. She loves to engage with her people and will happily seek out your attention, often with a little meow to let you know she’s nearby. Independent but loving, timid but growing braver each day, Tabitha is the kind of cat who offers a gentle, steady presence in the home.
She isn’t fussy with her food, she enjoys a peaceful environment, and she’s ready for someone who will slow down, meet her where she’s at, and let her continue to unfold into the warm, affectionate girl she truly is. If you’re after a sweet, tender soul who will quietly weave herself into your life, Tabitha might just be your perfect match.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Tabitha would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Tabitha seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Tabitha has already experienced living on the streets and she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Staff Comments: Tabitha is a gentle, low-energy sweetheart who thrives with experienced owners, enjoys soft cuddles and cheek scratches, and is slowly growing braver each day in a calm, quiet home.

Medical notes
Recovered Cat Flu: Historically cat flu has had a negative reputation and can often deter people from adopting; but you wouldn’t actually be able to tell a recovered cat flu cat from a non-cat flu cat. The truth is that many cat flu cats will live happy, healthy, long lives in their new home. So, what is it? Cat flu is caused by a virus. Humans can’t catch it, but other cats can; but only if the cat is showing flu symptoms. Stressful situations like desexing, or a dramatic change in environment can lead to a recovered cat experiencing cat flu again, but this is usually short lived and rarely requires medical intervention. Most cats will recover on their own providing their vaccines are up to date.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
