Meet Mitra,
Mitra is a sweet, soft-natured girl who brings a little sparkle wherever she goes. She’s suitable for first-time owners and thrives in a calm, quiet home where she can take life at her own gentle pace. Mitra is open to meeting kids of all ages, happily soaking up cuddles, being picked up, and accepting pats anywhere — she’s as easy going as they come.
With mid-range energy, she’s not overly fussed about toys, but she does love a good play session with her sister Starla. She’s not picky with food (she’ll try anything you offer), and her personality is a lovely blend of friendly, curious, independent, and affectionate. Loud noises and big movements can make her a little unsure, but her soft, social nature always shines through.
Mitra would absolutely adore finding a home with her sister Starla, but it’s no trouble if they need to go their separate ways — they’re close, but both confident enough to thrive independently.
If you’re looking for a gentle, engaging little sweetheart, Mitra is ready to make herself part of your world.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Mitra would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Mitra seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Mitra has already experienced living on the streets and she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Staff Comments: Mitra is a gentle, friendly and cuddly girl who’s great for first-time owners, easy going with kids, sensitive to loud noises, and would love a home with her sister Starla (though she’s confident enough to thrive on her own too).

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
