About Briar
Hi, I am Briar and I am a pretty easy going little guy.
I love other dogs, big and small. I am still figuring out personal space with the big ones but I try really hard. Cats are a mystery because I have not met any yet.
I would be fine as your only pet. I am a chilled out boy and I love company. I sleep wherever my foster family puts me. Sometimes on the deck. Sometimes in my crate. Sometimes with the other dogs. I do not mind as long as I feel safe. Most of my day is spent outside with the others but I always pop in for snuggles when I can. I can stay home alone for a few hours and I do alright.
I have met chooks during walks to the pen. They are interesting to watch and with the right teaching I think I will be fine living around them. I like kids and I love to chase them around the yard. I still jump up sometimes so the little ones might need a bit of supervision. I am not too worried about new people. I might stand back for a moment just to check things out but I warm up quickly and then I am ready for pats.
Soft squeaky toys are my favourite and sticks are always fun. I am learning my name and I usually sit when I am asked. I love food so training me should be easy. I sleep well in my crate and I do not usually have accidents overnight. I am still learning though. I am also learning to walk on a lead. I try my best.
I am not very vocal. I am just a normal pup with little bursts of energy and then long naps. I like to dig sometimes so I need secure fencing. I have no health issues and I eat Chum biscuits, pet mince and chicken frames.
I am a sweet boy with a gentle heart. I just want someone to love me and show me how to grow into the best dog I can be.
