About Lavender
Hi, I am Lavender.
I am a happy little pup who just loves exploring the world. I get along really well with other dogs. Big ones. Small ones. I think everyone is a friend. I have not met any cats yet, but I think I would be okay with them if someone showed me how to behave.
I should tell you something important about me. I am blind in one eye, but it does not slow me down at all. I move through the world with confidence and curiosity and I do not get startled, even if I cannot see something properly. It is simply part of who I am and I handle it beautifully.
I am very good at doing my own thing. I can wander around the yard or play with my brothers and sisters. I do not mind being the only pet as long as I have people who love me. I sleep on the deck or sometimes in my crate inside where it is warm and safe. Most days I hang out outside with my big foster brothers and sisters. They are fun.
Sometimes I am home alone for a little while and I do fine with that. I have even been to see the chickens. They are very interesting and I wanted to watch them. My foster mum says with some teaching I will learn to behave around them.
I like kids. My tiny human sister carries me around everywhere. I am gentle with her and I try very hard not to jump up. I like meeting new people too. I do not get worried. I just look for pats.
Food is one of my favourite things. I am currently on Supercoat and I am not bothered at all by food changes. I will sit and wait nicely for my meals, which I am very proud of. Treats, bones, anything really makes me happy. I also love soft toys to play with.
Toileting is going well. I do not make a mess when I sleep in my crate overnight. I am outside during the day so I will need some house training once I live inside full time. I have not done much lead walking yet but I am ready to learn.
I am not very noisy. I make little yips when I play or when I talk to my siblings. I have normal puppy energy. I run. I nap. I run again. I also love splashing about in my little pool. Water play is definitely one of my favourite things.
I need secure fencing because I like to explore. I do not have any big worries. Sometimes I guard my food a little but I get corrected and I listen. I am healthy and happy.
One of my quirks is that I love rolling in the mulch. It feels great. I love people. I love furry friends. I love adventures.
I would love a family who is ready for a sweet, curious pup like me. I cannot wait to grow up with someone who will love me back.
