About Cleopatra and Sphinx
Cleopatra and Sphinx are adorable little voids who will keep you entertained for hours. Watching them play is way better than anything on TV these days!
The love wrestling with each other, chasing bugs, pouncing on anything that looks like it might dangle and generally making mischief.
Cleo is the more adventurous of the two of them. If there's a new place to explore, she's going to check it out. Sphinx won't budge from her safe spot and cries for Cleo to come back.
When they've finally tired themselves out they curl up together hugging each other, which is super cute. That's when they might allow themselves to be picked up and cuddled. The rest of the time they've really got better things to do.
These girls are from a local colony, so it takes them time to trust new people. Food is absolutely the way to their heart. If you have food, they are more than willing to be your friend.
These girls would do great in a quieter house. They're fine with the teenagers in their foster home but would probably find smaller kids a bit much. They absolutely love other cats. They will go to great lengths to try to get the other cats in the household to love them! They're desperate to be friends!
Could your house be the right one for these gorgeous girls?
Medical notes
These are beautiful healthy girls, but Sphinx has a slightly lazy eye. It has been building up it's strength in the time she has been with the rescue and it's now barely noticeable. The vet has checked it out and she doesn't have any problems with vision.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
