About George
Meet George – The Sophisticated Gent with a Heart of Gold
George is a handsome grey and white short-haired gentleman with impeccable manners and a calm, thoughtful presence. He’s an independent young lad who enjoys watching the world go by from his favourite perch on the cat tree — quietly observing everything like the wise soul he is.
George has made friends with his carer’s other cats and even small dogs, so he would happily settle into a home with other feline-friendly animals. And here’s the clever bit — George has excellent recall, just like a dog! Call his name and he’ll come trotting over to see what’s happening.
He’s more of a “sit-beside-you” cat than a full lap cat — but don’t let that fool you. He’s just as loving and loyal, content to keep you company while you relax or watch TV. We can easily picture him lounging peacefully beside his future person, purring softly in a cosy home.
George would be perfectly suited to apartment living, especially with a comfy window perch to supervise the neighbourhood.
If you think George might be your perfect feline companion, please complete the online adoption application under his profile on the AWL NSW website. If you’re the right match, one of our volunteers will be in touch to arrange a meet & greet.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
