About Basil
Meet Basil! Basil is a gentle little kitten who brings a peaceful charm wherever he goes. While his brother Pumpkin rushes around discovering every corner of the world, Basil prefers to take life at a softer pace. He loves stretching out in quiet spots, finding cosy hideaways, and watching the household from a comfortable distance before joining in. Even though he’s on the calmer side, Basil is far from shy. He has a quiet confidence about him, the kind of kitten who steps into new spaces with curiosity and ease once he’s had a moment to take it all in. He enjoys exploring, playing, and interacting, but he does so with a relaxed, thoughtful approach. Basil is also incredibly affectionate. He seeks out cuddles, enjoys gentle pats, and happily settles beside you. He has been living with his brother and five other cats in foster care and gets along beautifully with everyone. Basil’s easygoing temperament makes him an excellent fit for a home with other animals, though he’ll also be perfectly content as an only cat with a loving person or family. Basil will need to remain indoors to him safe from outdoor dangers! If you would like to meet Basil, please speak with the friendly team at PETstock Tuggerah!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
