About Teddy Valenti
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:

TEDDY IS VERY POPULAR AND AT TEDDY'S REQUEST WE ARE PRIORITISING APPLICATIONS WHERE THERE IS ANOTHER PLAYFUL DOG.
Meet Teddy – The Sweetest Little Sidekick
Teddy is a gentle, happy young pup who sees the world with curiosity and excitement. He adores both human and dog company and is just as content romping around with a playmate as he is chilling out with a toy for a quiet chew. He’s a joyful little dog who wants to be involved in everything his people do.
Teddy is still learning about life and can get a bit reactive when he sees other dogs or people on walks. He isn’t aggressive — just very eager to say hello and play. With time, guidance and continued training, this behaviour will improve. At home, he plays beautifully with the resident dog and would thrive with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes.
Teddy is around 80% house trained and has mastered the doggie door, happily taking himself outside most of the time. He does best with a bit of encouragement first thing in the morning and before bed. He won’t toilet while on lead, so access to a yard is important.
This sweet boy sleeps in the bedroom, as he finds being alone in another room or confined to a crate very scary. He is learning to settle on his dog bed and is making slow, positive progress. Teddy does experience some separation anxiety, which can lead to attempts to escape if left alone or confined for too long. He is happiest in a home where people are around, or where he has another friendly dog for company.
Teddy travels well in the car, enjoys an hour of walking or play each day, and is beginning to pick up basic training.
Teddy’s ideal home is:
- A family, couple, or person who is home often
- Ideally another resident dog for companionship
- A secure yard (his road sense is currently 0!)
Teddy is a loving, happy puppy who will make a wonderful lifelong companion. With the right home, he will continue to grow in confidence and become the beautiful, well-rounded dog he’s meant to be.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
