🐱 Onyx - 2 Month Old - Domestic Short Hair
Onyx is an adorable 2-month-old Domestic Short Hair boy with a sweet nature and a playful personality. He loves to explore, chase toys, and discover new things, but he’s just as happy to curl up for cuddles once he’s done adventuring. Onyx is confident, curious, and enjoys the company of people and other pets.
At this young age, he’s still learning about the world and growing into his personality, so he’s looking for a home that can offer patience, kindness, and plenty of enrichment. Onyx would suit a family, couple, or individual who wants a friendly, outgoing kitten to join their life and bring joy into their home.
Onyx is ready to start his journey with his forever family and enjoy all the love, care, and comfort he deserves.

Desexing will be completed at 6 months of age at one of W.I.S.H Rescue's partnered vet clinics and is covered in the adoption fee.
Medical notes
Onyx's mother tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). While there is a small chance of transmission to her kittens, most kittens born to FIV-positive mothers test negative once maternal antibodies have cleared.
As FIV testing is not reliable until kittens are at least 6 months of age, testing will be completed at that time, and the rescue will cover the cost of the blood test.
In the event of a positive FIV result, the adopter acknowledges that while there is no cure, FIV-positive cats can live healthy lives. The cat must not be housed with FIV-negative cats to minimise the risk of transmission.

📝 Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application
Complete our online adoption application form for the dog or cat you’re interested in. This helps us get to know you, your lifestyle, and what kind of pet would be the best match.
📞 Step 2: Application Review & Follow-Up
Our adoption team will review your application and contact you within a few days. We may ask follow-up questions, request photos of your home, or conduct a phone interview to ensure a great fit.
🐕 Step 3: Meet & Greet
If your application is approved, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet with the animal. This could be at your home, the foster carer’s home, or a neutral location depending on the animal's needs.
✨ Step 4: Finalise the Adoption
If the Meet & Greet goes well and everyone is happy, we’ll complete the adoption paperwork, transfer microchip details, and welcome you as an official member of the W.I.S.H Rescue family.
