Lucille and Maeby are both playful, sweet and full of personality! They love to stalk and pounce and love motorised toys that they try very hard to outsmart! They enjoy sitting in the window and watching the birds and bugs and will grow into such lovely young ladies. Both have grown up with other cats and a small dog and would be suitable for a home with proven cat friendly residents.

While Lucille and Maeby are undoubtedly the cutest little fluffernutters you’ll ever meet, they are also very high maintenance cats, who are looking for an experienced and dedicated home. Being long haired and flat faced, the girls need a forever home that is committed to a daily routine of brushing and face cleaning, not just for a while, or when you have time, but every day for the next (hopefully) 15-20 years.

It’s extremely important that their new home understands the work involved in owning happy, healthy, high maintenance pets and are sure they are prepared for all the work and mess that comes along with the cuteness.

As the girls get older, they will almost certainly require professional grooming at least a couple of times a year and as flat faced cats, will require yearly dental checkups and routine dentals when required. We ask that applicants consider these additional ongoing costs before applying.

Lucille and Maeby currently eat and have been raised on premium kitten food, and they will require this until they’re at least 12 months old. They will then need to be fed similar, premium adult food. The girls are fully litter trained and will need to be provided with a minimum of 2 suitable (non-robotic) litter trays and tofu litter, as this is what they are used to and the best product for them. Lucille and Maeby will need suitable environmental enrichment with scratchers and toys to keep them entertained.

Initially, we are only taking applications from homes who are interested in adopting both girls, as being the only surviving kittens in their litter, we don’t want to split them up if it’s not necessary. Should we not be able to find them a perfect home together, then we will start taking applications for them individually. Please do not apply at this stage if you only want to adopt one kitten.

Both girls have been desexed, microchipped, regularly wormed and have had their first vaccination. Squishies will provide their second vaccination when it is due also. The girls are in care in Rowville and will only be accepting applications from homes within a reasonable driving distance. We will not be accepting interstate applications under any circumstances.
