Midge💝Pug x Border Terrier (On Trial 24/11/25)

Midge is a scruffy, confident and cheeky little monkey who will make you laugh and be your best friend. She is a Pug x Border Terrier, which is a great combination because she doesn’t have the breathing problems or lots of shedding like a pug, and the border terrier means she is sturdy and smart.

💝 Midge’s favourite things:
• Food! She knows when it’s meal time and gets very excited.
• Going for a daily walk or even two.
• Following you around the house.
• Sitting on your lap or near you.

• Great with the other dogs she lives with.
• Good with children who are gentle. She’s not nippy.
• Good in the car.
• Good walking on lead.
• Fine when left home alone.
• Housetrained and uses a doggie door.

Midge is 14 years old but still full of beans. She’d be perfect for a retired couple or individual or anyone who wants an easy-going dog that is no trouble to look after. Her needs are very simple, two meals a day and one or two walks a day. In between these highlights, she just likes to be near you, either napping in a dog bed at your feet, next to you on the couch or on your lap. If you’re cooking in the kitchen she likes to supervise!

✂ Midge has a rough coat which sheds a little bit but not as much as most terriers. She just needs brushing every few days, and an occasional bath as needed.

😁 Midge recently had a dental cleaning so her teeth are good. As you’d expect with a senior dog she has some reduced hearing. She is so happy at the start of her walk that she has a short run for a minute then she settles down to walking nicely beside you. She’s quite easy to walk.

Midge was a very well loved pet of an elderly couple. Sadly, they had to go into aged care and couldn’t keep her. They couldn’t walk her very much so Midge is now rather chunky at 10kgs. She has been losing weight in foster care and needs to lose another kilo. Daily walks and fewer treats are working.

🐶 Midge is an delightful girl who is looking for a loving home where someone will love her as much as her previous family. She’s an easy-care companion.

👉 Midge is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie). Her adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and lifetime registered.
