Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur!
Woah, woah, woah. As someone who struggles to grow fur, I purr-sonally find this song highly offensive. Surely there must be a song out there for the follicularly-challenged? Wait - I've got just the thing..
*blasts Smooth Criminal on the radio*
Much better. Now we've set the mood, please take a seat, get comfortable, and let's get to know me a little better!
Nature
I'm a quirky little lady, full of naughtiness and love right down to my fluff- err... my naked bean toes.
As you may have figured out by now, I'm a little on the bald side. Nobody is really sure why, but the vet seems to think it may have been caused by stress-related over grooming when I was living on the streets. Luckily for me I was whisked away to the warm, safe, comforts of a home and haven't shown any signs of over grooming since being in care. And, thankfully for me, I rock the bald look even better than Bruce Willis!
I've only been in care for a couple of weeks now, but I have settled in beautifully. I'm a real confident and loving little ragamuffin who, my mama says, only causes trouble 50% of the time, yay me!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I can be a little gremlin when it comes to my foster siblings. Half of the time I'm a very respectful, loving little girl, the other half... Well, my pawrents have thrown the word 'monster' around a few times. My foster mama thinks I am trying to play but I get over-excited and forget my manners. Unfortunately for me, I am the only baby in the house and all of the other cats are grown up and BORING. They have no interest in playing with me whatsoever. Lame. So my pawrents and I agree that it would be great if I could join a family with youngsters (whether that be kids, cats or dogs) so I have someone to play the day away with. I would also do well with older kitties who will not put up with my nonsense and who will put me back in my place if I become too big for my boots.
I have never met dogs or kids before but, so long as they tolerate my cheekiness and are cat friendly I have no doubt we will become fast friends.
Likes / Dislikes
My favourite thing in the whole wide world is playing. I would play all day, every day, if eating, sleeping and pooping didn't get in the way. My second favourite thing in the world is causing trouble. Getting up to mischief and winding my foster siblings up is a talent that comes naturally to me. My foster mama says if there was an award for The Biggest Pain in the Bee-Hind, I would win first, second AND third prize! I haven't seen any bees around, but I'm not surprised that I won. What can I say? I'm a winner!
Other things I love include food (especially those Dine Creamy treats!), head boops, kisses, causing trouble and being brushed. You might wonder why a little baldy like myself needs to be brushed? Well, friends, the less fur in the way, the more like a massage it is for me! My favourite brush is the dustpan brush. Extra bristly goodness for my skin - heaven!
My PURR-fect home would be with a wonderfully kind and caring family who know better than to judge a book by its cover and who know that there is far more to a kitty than the coat that they wear. I may struggle to grow fur, but when it comes to love, I have more than enough to go around.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
If you would like to apply to adopt Fenella please come and meet her at PETstock Port Kennedy this Saturday from 10am until 2pm. She will be ready to go home with the first suitable family.
