About Bear
Bear is a young, goofy, and playful boy looking for a home that can provide structure, routine, and plenty of love. He thrives when included as part of the family and will bond quickly with his new people-he'll want to be wherever you are!
An active and intelligent dog, Bear needs both physical and mental stimulation each day. He's eager to please and already knows sit and lie down, and is working on leave it and give it. With consistent, positive training, Bear will continue to shine. Crate training may help him learn to settle when he needs downtime.
Bear loves his walks, especially quiet "Sniffari" adventures where he can explore the world around him. He absolutely adores water and could play all day, so clear start and finish times will help him learn balance. Fetch is another favorite game-he happily brings the ball back and is still perfecting his give it cue.
Bear would do best with someone home often, especially during his first week as he settles in. A secure, fenced yard is a must. He's not your typical Lab-Bear will be a rewarding project for the right family who values consistency, patience, and fun!
Bear is a smart boy who has missed out on some socialization and will require extensive ongoing training with his manners and his reactivity to other dogs. Bear must meet any other dogs in the home at time of adoption - is best suited to a calm, very tolerant dog and an adopter who is understanding that Bear needs a thorough introduction to other doggie friends.
