About Honey Bear
Meet Honey Bear - Your New Best Friend
Honey Bear is a 13-month-old tan, medium-sized crossbreed who came to BARC as a surrender when life took an unexpected turn for her previous family.
Understandably, this gentle soul was distressed at first, but she has quickly discovered that the BARC team is full of kindness and cuddles-and they've promised to find her the very best home.
Honey Bear is looking for an inclusive, loving family who understands that she may need a little time to decompress and adjust to her new reality of love, belonging, and a cozy spot on the couch. She would thrive in a home with older kids to call her own and would absolutely adore having another social dog as a companion. In fact, Honey Bear has fallen head over heels for her handsome friend Grumbles here at BARC-his presence brings out her confidence and joy!
Adopting two dogs is not a priority, but if you're curious about giving both Honey Bear and Grumbles a home, our team would love to chat.
Like Winnie the Pooh, Honey Bear has a heart full of honey-warm, golden, and sweet.
She's the kind of friend who will always be there for you, rain or shine, ready for a cuddle or an adventure.
Honey Bear believes, just like Pooh, that "sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart"-and she's ready to fill yours.
Her gentle nature and soft eyes remind us that love is simple: a wagging tail, a trusting look, and a spot beside you.
Honey Bear is proof that even when life changes, kindness and friendship can make everything better.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
