About Milo
Roxie is a bright, affectionate, and spirited young pup with a big heart and plenty of personality. She's incredibly people-focused and forms strong attachments, so she'll need a patient adopter who can help her build confidence being alone, even with another dog in the home.
She's very social and playful, with a happy, high-energy Jack Russell vibe. Roxie loves to run and chase (especially joggers' feet!), so lead walks are best until her recall is reliable. She's clever and eager to please, learning commands like sit and starting to understand toilet training - she's now asking to go outside more often.
She's food motivated and has a bit of fear of missing out around meals, sometimes trying to sneak from other dogs' bowls, but responds well to redirection. She also adores natural chews (like shark skin, beef skin, and fur chews), which help keep her occupied and settled.
Roxie really dislikes car travel - she'll cry or howl even when sitting next to you being gently patted. This seems more like anxiety than motion sickness, so slow desensitisation will help her feel more at ease. She can also wriggle out of harnesses, so a secure fit is essential.
She's chatty, expressive, and a bit of an attention seeker - she'll let you know when she wants company, even when you're working from home! Her playful sing-songy sounds and growing bark skills are part of her charm. Roxie's a clever little girl who needs toys, games, and enrichment activities to keep her brain busy and burn off energy.
Roxie would thrive in a home with another confident, calm dog who can model good behaviour and help set boundaries, or with an active person who can provide structure, reassurance, and plenty of love. She'll reward her humans with endless affection, enthusiasm, and joy.
