About Poppy
đ Meet Poppy! đ
A 5-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as big as her snores⊠and a tongue so long it occasionally forgets to stay inside her mouth. Seriously â Poppyâs signature look is âtongue out, bliss mode activated.â Sleeping? Tongue out. Relaxing? Tongue out. Just existing in her natural Poppy state? Yep⊠tongue out.
Poppy is a professional couch cuddler, part-time sunbather, and occasional backyard athlete (usually for 7â12 minutes before she remembers horizontal life is superior). She loves being close to her people, but sometimes gets a burst of âI AM SPEEDâ and zooms around like sheâs starring in her own action movie.
Poppy has come into care as a exbreeding girl
Currently in care with other Frenchies, Poppy loves a good wrestle, a zoom, a tumble⊠and then a dramatic stop-drop-and-snore the moment sheâs finished. Her commitment to rest is unmatched.
And about those photosâdonât let the camera trick you. Poppy isnât chunky; sheâs perfectly proportioned and surprisingly muscly in real life. The camera adds 10 pounds, and in Poppyâs case, it probably added two extra chins she doesnât even own. She is a perfect 9.6kg queen.
Poppy LOVES kidsâespecially the sturdy ones who can kindly remind her to keep all four feet on the floor. For this reason, we recommend children 13+, ideally the kind who can dodge excitement zoomies with ninja-like agility.
With other dogs? Sheâs awesomeâbig, small, goofy, calm, she loves them all. Sheâs just as happy being an only dog or having a canine wrestling buddy. Sheâs met a cat tooâher intentions are pure, but her enthusiasm level is⊠a lot for cats with delicate egos.
Poppy is toilet trained, sleeps nicely in a crate, and will happily sleep on her own bed⊠unless given the chance to sleep on yours. And if she does, expect her to choose a position that is either directly on your pillow or pressed against your skull. Bonus: the tongue will almost certainly be out.
She walks beautifully on a lead, enjoys short strolls, and is proudly not training for any long-distance events. Sunspots, snacks, and snuggles? Thatâs her fitness regime.
Food? Her passion. Her calling. Her destiny. Sheâs very treat-motivated and therefore very trainable.
Her most iconic traits?
â Massive snores
â Eternal optimism
â A tongue that refuses to participate fully in her mouthâs responsibilities
Grooming is low-maintenanceâjust a gentle de-shed during seasonal shifts and the occasional medicated foot wash, which she tolerates like an absolute angel.
Poppy is searching for a loving home filled with cozy beds, humans who appreciate quirky charm, and people who find tongue-out-snoozing adorable (or at least hilarious).
If youâre ready for a sweet, silly, snuggly Frenchie with a heart of gold and a tongue that always makes an appearanceâPoppy canât wait to meet you. đđŸ

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
