Banjo's had a hard start to life. At just one year old, this scruffy young boy has already weathered the streets and learned to rely on himself. He's a little rough around the edges and cautious around people, and sometimes his first instinct is to run away. No one has ever shown him what it feels like to be truly safe.

But once you spend time with him, you discover the sweetest truth: beneath that wary exterior is a gentle, soft-hearted boy just waiting to be understood.

Since settling into foster care, Banjo has shown just how kind and peaceful his nature really is. He's a quiet, gentle boy who loves having his own calm space. You'll often find him curled up on the couch, fast asleep and completely relaxed. He moves gracefully around the home, never scratching people or furniture, and seems happiest when the world is still and calm.

Although he's an independent soul, Banjo has a very sweet way of showing affection. When he misses you, he'll quietly appear behind you, as if to say hello in his shy little way. Head pats and chin scratches are his weakness - give him a good massage and he melts into pure happiness.

Banjo has also tested positive for FIV, likely a reminder of the challenges he faced outdoors. This simply means he'll need to remain an indoor-only cat, where he can stay safe, healthy, and far from the hardships of the streets. FIV cats can live long, happy lives - especially when they finally find comfort, routine, and love.

Banjo may not be ready to curl up in your lap straight away, but every little step forward will feel like a milestone. With patience, kindness, and a peaceful environment, Banjo will blossom into the loyal, gentle companion he's meant to be. Saving a life truly starts right here with him.
