About Bobbi
Bobbi is a 2-year-old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is a petite girl at just 6.5kg, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and in excellent health.
Although Bobbi can be a little reserved when meeting new people, with some patience, she soon opens up to show her sweet, quirky side and her eagerness to learn and please. She walks nicely on lead, has learnt great manners in the home, and knows how to greet her humans politely.
Bobbi came from a home where she became overly attached to one of her humans. Although she was very loved, she did not receive any training, structure, or direction. If left to her own devices without clear leadership, Bobbi will feel it’s her job to guard her chosen person from others — including family members, both two- and four-legged. So she is not an ideal candidate for being a continuous lapdog.
Now living with a trainer, two other people, and three other dogs, Bobbi has shown none of these behaviours. With consistent training, structure, and guidance, she has truly blossomed. Occasionally, she may bark at an overexcited child or dog passing by when she feels unsure, but she is learning that this is not acceptable behaviour and is improving every day with consistency.
Due to her history, Bobbi’s ideal would be a home with a yard that is dog-free and child-free, or with older teenagers. She has been living with a dog-friendly parrot and has shown little interest. She has not been tested with cats or other pocket pets.
Bobbi loves her walks, is calm within the home, crate-trained, and very sweet-natured. Despite her small size and adorable looks, she thrives with firm guidance, love, and clear structure. She would greatly benefit from ongoing training and support from her new family to continue building her confidence and adjustment within the home.
If her adopter is prepared to give Bobbi the time, structure, and love she needs, she will make a fantastic lifelong companion.
