Poppy (On Trial)

Poppy went on trial in a new home on 23/7. Please see all our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au

poppy was found abandoned, malnourished and burned. With lots of tlc in foster care she is now in very healthy and you can barely tell where the scars were. She is a beautiful, purebred bull terrier, around 2 years old and about 15kg with lots of personality. . . This little girl has not had a good start in life, despite this she loves people!. Given a chance, she would sit and cuddle all day and is quick to roll over onto her back for a tummy scratch! she also loves food, food and more food, walks on the lead, rides in the car and is learning to play with a ball. Poppy is house trained and is getting the hang of basic commands quickly. With a bit of time and patience she will learn a lot more. . . Poppy currently lives with a foster family who work during the day. Poppy stays outside and does not seem to fret when left alone and is not destructive. She is very pleased to see us when we get home and when she is inside she will lie on her bed when asked to and will sleep inside at night time without any fuss. . . Poppy may have had a bad experience with a dog in her past and now she doesn't seem to get on with other dogs, so she needs to go to a home where she is the only pet. She needs a family with some experience with dogs. She is young and quick to learn but needs firm leadership to get the best from her. She wouldn't be suited to a family with very young children (only because she can be a bit clumsy). . . . Poppy has been such a pleasure to look after, her happy little face and waggly tail are a joy to come home to. We will be very particular about where she goes and a yard check and id check will be done. She will make a wonderful pet for someone willing to give her a chance. . . . *** please see more photos of poppy at
