Hello future friends, George here at your service! I am a gentle giant who was found trying to survive on my own. My beautiful fur was a bit matted, but I am so glad I do not have to worry about that any more! Because of this my coat has some small shaved spots but it is already growing back beautifully!

I am a very relaxed young man who makes adorable chirps for pats and just likes to be involved in what you are doing by watching from a soft spot in the room. I like to lounge and eat and even if I am super comfy, if you stand to leave the room I will wake up and come over to you, while chirping, to get some pats and ask where you are going. I just have so much love to give.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I have not met any small humans or doggos in my foster home but I think teenagers and older might be better for me. Whilst I love pats and company, I also understand the value of alone time and would prefer children who will be able to let me rest when I want to.

A quiet and calm doggo might be OK but we would need super slow introductions!

There are other cats in my foster home and I am currently doing slow introductions with them - so far so good! For the most part I am not very interested in them and ignore them because I am more focused on chirping at my Foster Mum for pats. Hopefully soon if I continue my good-boy streak my Foster Mum will let me out of the crate when the other cats are around, and maybe I can make a friend!

Likes / Dislikes
I wasn't lying when I said I was a relaxed cat! My Foster Mum has been trying to crack my hobbies but I like to keep her guessing. The one thing she knows for sure that I love is food! I love food and treats and I am so gentle and polite when I'm fed by hand.

My favourite thing to do is lay in a comfy spot and snooze, whether that is on a soft bed, or a cat tower or under a table, I'm not super fussed! I was given cat nip and I enjoyed that for a while, rubbing on it and rolling around. I've not really played with toys yet, but I have started playing with a wand toy if my Foster Mum is holding the other end of it.

When I first arrived, my skin was a bit sore because my gorgeous coat had gotten matted while I was homeless. Because of this I wasn't always the biggest fan of being brushed, but my Foster Mum has been explaining how important it is for me and I get treats whenever she brushes me, so I am learning to love what is good for me. I can be picked up and held briefly, but I then I politely squirm to be placed back on my own feet.

My PURR-fect home would be with a quiet and loving family who are looking for a calm and gentle boy to co-exist with them and be a part of whatever you are doing from a soft spot in the room. Other cats might be OK, but I think I would also be OK as an only pet, and my coat will need to be brushed frequently to make sure I'm feeling my best. I hope to meet you soon!
